JOB SUMMARY
“Wildlife guides of Tanzania (T) LTD” and “Ang’ata Camps & Safaris” needs an individual Male or Female with high skills and experience in Management especially Camps Operations management, Site improvement, maintenance, Oversight of Camps, Supervision of Food & Beverages Services, a person who gets the job done efficiently to ensure the quality control of our service and overall of our camps operations.
REQUIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Management Skills.
§ Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills
§ Strong Leadership skills
§ Intermediate knowledge to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook and Internet & E-mails
§ Intermediate knowledge of major accounting software packages especially Quick Book for both general ledger.
§ Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
§ Excellent verbal, and written English
§ Ability to work independently and as a part of management team.
§ A male will be given a priority
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
§ Bachelor or Advance Diploma of Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited university.
§ Four to six years progressively responsible experience in the management level preferably in the Tourist & hospitality industry especially camps.
§ Driving license class “C” will be a plus.
General Duties and responsibilities
§ Camps operations manager continuously monitor client’s satisfaction level and make sure that company operations meet client requirements.
§ Operations of the Camps
◾To operate and manage services provided by a company to ensure they meet client expectations and requirements.
§ Visiting the camps so that to Address and resolve all issues concerning camps operations.
§ To develop and implement policies for maximizing operational efficiency and profitability also personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and materials. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.
◾To develop and implement best practices and procedures to enhance business growth.
◾Ensure that equipments and employees are working safely and following procedures and practices. Take immediate action to correct any deficiencies that would allow complains or no-compliances.
◾To motivate and reward high performing employees by recommending bonuses, or promotions so that to harmonize the morality of work to employees.
◾Oversee the preparations, allocation and management of operations budget to ensure target achievement.
◾To Develop and introduce new proposals and technology to enhance business productivity
◾Collaborate with functional units of an organization to integrate new or existing services
◾Build and maintain positive trust relationship with clients to minimize clients complains.
◾Liaise with the logistics team to determine the requirements at camps and quality of goods purchased.
◾Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost.
◾Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout and Ensure service and repairs of equipment at camps done on time.
◾Develop and maintain open lines of communication with all departments and customers.
◾Orient and train employees on an ongoing basis, to ensure competency in all aspects of each position at camps.
◾Ensure company operations are completed in a timely and effective manner
◾Preparations of monthly budget, quarterly and yearly budget
◾Preparation of executive monthly report.
